Xbox Game Pass: Here's What's Coming And Leaving This October

by Liana Ruppert on Oct 13, 2020 at 09:27 AM

Xbox Game Pass is a constantly rotating library of free games that players can enjoy at no additional cost outside of the membership price. This includes day one first-party titles, DLC, and more. Now that we're in the thick of October, the Xbox Game Pass is adding a few new titles to its library, with a few on their way out to make room.

With Doom Eternal having been added on October 1, there are a few other titles to enjoy additionally. Whether you like strategy with Age of Empires or you want to try out the neo-noir experience found in Katana Zero, there is something for everyone with the Game Pass subscription.

What's on the way:

  • Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition (PC) – October 15
  • Heave Ho (PC) ID@Xbox – October 15
  • Katana Zero (Android, Console & PC) ID@Xbox – October 15
  • Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (Console & PC) – October 15
  • The Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse (PC) – October 15
  • ScourgeBringer (Console) ID@Xbox – October 21
  • Cricket 19 (Console) – October 22
  • Supraland (Console) ID@Xbox – October 22
  • Grounded Game Preview Update

DLC / Game updates:

  • Black Desert Succession Update (Console)
  • Destiny 2: Festival of the Lost 2020 – Until November 3
  • Doom Eternal Halloween 2020 – Until October 29
  • Overcooked! 2: Moon Harvest Festival – Free Update Out Now
  • State of Decay 2 Update 21 & Open Range Pack

What's leaving:

October 15:

  • Felix the Reaper (Console & PC)
  • Metro 2033 Redux (Console & PC)
  • Minit (Console & PC)
  • Saints Row IV Re-Elected (PC)
  • State of Mind (PC)

October 30:

  • After Party (Console)
  • LEGO Star Wars III (Console)
  • Rise & Shine (Console)
  • Tacoma (Console & PC)
  • The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game (Console & PC)
  • The Red Strings Club (PC)

If you haven't checked out After Party yet, I can't recommend that game enough. It's literally a game where you go to hell and have to outdrink the devil to escape. The writing is hilarious, the premise is ridiculous, and the game experience is beyond unforgettable.

Don't have the membership? With the Xbox Game Pass, there are two options to choose from with the Xbox Game Pass and the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Both offer Team Green fans a chance to play over 100 titles at no additional cost, including day one launches of first party titles. With the acquisition of Bethesda, means even more appeal for that aspect.

EA Play is also joining its library with the Xbox Game Pass on November 10, making the library even more robust.

Xbox Game Pass is $9.99 a month, whereas Xbox Game Pass Ultimate comes in at $14.99 and includes Xbox Live Gold. It's a pretty good deal, especially for those that are picky with their games. Either way, we have some spicy shakeups for October! Excited? Disappointed? Shout those thoughts out loud and proud in the comment section below!
