Dragon’s Crown DLC Free For First Month

Vanillaware’s upcoming brawler Dragon’s Crown has already received some fire over its characters’ exaggerated bodies, but here’s some news that’s tough to be upset about: For the first month, the Voice Pack DLC will be completely free.

This content replaces the standard narrator with voices from the game’s six playable characters, each adding his or her own comments to the adventure. After the first month, the Voice Pack will be priced at $1.99.

It’s not a huge bonus, admittedly, but when combined with the already announced pre-order art book, early birds to Dragon’s Crown will come away with a nice collection of free content.

Dragon’s Crown releases on PlayStation 3 and Vita on August 6. For more information, check out our preview of the game.

Dragon's Crown, the multiplayer action beat-em-up from ATLUS will offer players the ability to customize their story with different narrator voices from each of the six playable characters in the game: Amazon, Dwarf, Elf, Fighter, Sorceress, and Wizard. These character voices replace the game's original narration with their own distinct voice.

Brave adventurers who play Dragon's Crown right at launch will have a special offer - for the first month after the game's release on Aug. 6, the game's DLC will be completely free. After the first month, the voice pack will revert to a price of $1.99.

Dragon's Crown will be playable at E3 this year! Stop by the ATLUS booth (West Hall #5010) and check out all the side-scrolling, dragon-slaying, butt-kicking action!

Dragon's Crown will be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems for $49.99 and $39.99 respectively and is available for pre-orders now from major retailers. The game is rated T for Teen by the ESRB. More details about the game will be revealed in the future, with updates on the official Dragon's Crown website at: http://www.atlus.com/dragonscrown/
