Check Out Alpha Gameplay Footage For Shadowrun Returns

by Kayla Herrera on Mar 08, 2013 at 07:45 AM

After delaying the release of the Kickstarter-funded Shadowrun Returns to May or June this year, Harebrained Schemes is releasing the first official gameplay footage for Shadowrun Returns: Alpha.

When Shadowrun Returns came about on Kickstarter, it was seeking $400,000. Harebrained Schemes successfully surpassed that amount and put the game into development. The extra money led to the extra time needed to fine-tune the game, hence the delay.

Shadowrun is a classless system, which gives players the chance to change things up. You can develop your character the way you want without the limitations of a class. The different characters you can grow into are a mage, street samurai, decker, shaman, rigger and physical adept. A previous Game Informer feature expands on each of these different characters.

The game is slated for release on PC, Mac, and tablets. You can follow the game’s progress at the developer’s official website and check out the gameplay footage below.
