Buy Dragon Age II Before April 30, Get Mass Effect 2 For PC Free

by Phil Kollar on Apr 05, 2011 at 09:15 AM

BioWare announced today that Dragon Age II broke the one million sold mark in less than two weeks -- faster than Dragon Age: Origins. To celebrate this feat, the developer and EA are offering up a great deal for Dragon Age fans who may not have played BioWare's other big sequel yet.

Anyone who purchases Dragon Age II before April 30 will be able to download a free copy of Mass Effect 2 for the PC through BioWare's social site. Redeeming this offer will require tying your copy of Dragon Age II to your BioWare account. You'll also need to activate the "Online Pass" that is packed into new copies, so if you're waiting to pick up the game used, you won't be able to take advantage of this giveaway.

This deal applies to all versions of Dragon Age II, but it's only the PC version of Mass Effect 2 that is being offered. Players will need to grab Mass Effect 2 via EA's download manager.

Restrictions aside, this is a great deal for anyone who somehow has missed out on one of the best games of last year. If you already have purchased Dragon Age II or were planning to soon anyway, it'll now be that much easier to get caught up in time for Mass Effect 3.

Oh, and just in case you need more hype for this deal, EA sent along the video below:
