Supergiant Games' Awesome Dungeon Crawler Hades Comes To Switch This Fall

by Brian Shea on Aug 18, 2020 at 11:03 AM

As the studio behind such hits as Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, Supergiant Games is no stranger to delivering excellent experiences across consoles and PC. Up until now, Hades has enjoyed a successful run in Epic Games Store and Steam Early Access, but the studio today announced its well-received roguelike dungeon crawler will be coming to Switch this fall.

In Hades, you take control of Zagreus, the immortal prince of the Underworld. Your goal is to escape from the Underworld and reach Mount Olympus. Over the course of gameplay, you encounter many characters of Greek legend. At the start of each run, an Olympian grants you bonuses to assist you on your next attempt. Die, and all your gifts are lost aside from permanent boosts you can unlock in between runs.

Hades started in Epic Games Store Early Access in 2018, but has since arrived on Steam. Hades is set to launch on Switch this fall. Those who have already played the PC version are able to transfer their progress to the Switch version via cross-save functionality.
