by Wayne Stainrook on Aug 14, 2014 at 11:16 AM

Though the summer months are notorious for being a dry spell in the gaming sphere, discounts on older games can soften the blow. This week's Xbox Deals With Gold include Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Final Fantasy XIII titles, and tracks for Just Dance 4 and 2014.

On Xbox One, you can grab Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Titanfall for 50 percent off, EA Sports UFC for 33 percent off, and Titanfall Expedition DLC for 30 percent off.  Highlighting the Xbox 360 deals are Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII at 50 percent off.

Xbox Live Arcade games Crystal Defenders, Gyromancer, Moon Diver, Space Invaders Infinity Gene, Yosumin! Live are all available at half price, while Risen, Risen 2: Dark Waters, and Fight Night Champion have been marked down 75 percent.

The following downloadable tracks for Just Dance 2014 on Xbox One and Just Dance 4 on Xbox 360 are discounted at 40 percent off, as well. Just Dance 4 is also available at 50 percent off.

  • “Can’t Hold Us” – Macklemore
  • “Timber” –  Pitbull Ft. Ke$ha
  • “Gangnam Style” – PSY
  • “Sexy And I Know It” – LMFAO
  • “Don’t You Worry Child” – Swedish House Mafia

These deals are in effect until August 18. For more, check out this month's Games With Gold you can pick up at no extra charge.

Our Take
If you own an Xbox One and have yet to purchase Titanfall, now is as good a time as any to pick up the futuristic shooter. And, since many deplored the Ground Zeroes' price tag upon release, this could be your chance to check out the prologue to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
