Narrative Title Telling Lies Releases Later This Month
Telling Lies, the new narrative video title from Sam Barlow, the director behind Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Her Story, was announced a little while back as a major follow up to the same ideas behind Her Story. While there have been various updates about timing over the last two years, there hasn't been a hard date. Today, Annapurna Interactive revealed that the game actually comes out surprisingly soon on August 23.
"Telling Lies sits you in front of an anonymous laptop loaded with a stolen NSA database full of footage," Annapurna said in a press release. "The footage covers two years in the intimate lives of four people, starring Hollywood actors Logan Marshall-Green, Angela Sarafyan, Alexandra Shipp and Kerry Bishé, whose stories are linked by a shocking incident. Explore the database by typing search terms, watch the clips where those words are spoken and piece together the story."
Kim Wallace spoke to with Sam Barlow earlier this year about what to expect from Telling Lies, which should appeal to fans of Her Story. You can pick up Her Story on PC and iOS on August 23.
