Big Dead Cells Update And Switch Performance Fix Is Out Now

by Ben Reeves on Feb 14, 2019 at 12:22 PM

Dead Cells is great, but last year's action rogue-like received a wave of criticism for its performance on the Nintendo Switch. A recent update claims to have fixed those problems and added several great new features.

The patch released today for all consoles and includes a new game mode that allows players to customize their runs. For example, players now have the ability to unlock and re-lock items, enable special gameplay adjustments, and change other rules of play.

Another bonus is that Motion Twin has removed Dead Cell's “mob auto-scaling” mechanic so each level now has a fixed difficulty. The amount of health that players have on higher difficulties also been re-balanced so players at higher levels will have more HP.

Overall, this sounds like a solid patch, so if you haven't touched Dead Cells in a while, now might be a good time to take another run at the Hand of the King.
