The Hyperdimension Neptunia series has always been one to poke fun at the gaming industry. The series is set in the world of “Gamindustri,” which is populated by nations named after game consoles, like Lastation (Playstation 3) and Lowee (Nintendo Wii). Now, Idea Factory International is bringing the spinoff title Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart to North America for an early 2015 release.

This Vita-exclusive title focuses on a new “console war” between the four nations of “Gamarket,” a separate world set inside the Gamindustri. When an unknown force threatens all four nations, players will need to unite Gamarket as the goddess Noire to defeat the mysterious foe.

Goddess Black Heart features turn-based combat, customizable gear, and off-kilter status ailments in battle where characters become pixelated or turn into tofu. The focus isn't always on the action though. In the "Sim Noire" mode, players can customize Noire’s house with furniture and accessories that can be purchased with in-game currency.

Noire can also get social with her teammates both on and off the battlefield. The new “Lily Boost” relationship building mechanic gives players stat boosts, battle transformations, and special moves. In “Sim Noire,” she can build her social level by going out with her friends.
