Koei Tecmo America and Omega Force have just announced their upcoming action title Bladestorm: Nightmare, which will be releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox One sometime early next year. The game, which is a sequel to 2007’s Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War, is described as a Troop Command Action game.

The gameplay is somewhat similar to Koei Tecmo’s popular Dynasty Warriors series, but with control over a small troupe of units rather than just one character. Players can choose to fight for England or France, and then take part in missions inspired by the actual events of ‘the Hundred Years War’. You will also be able to create a unique character who can work his or her way up the ranks by winning battles, earning fame and fortune along the way.

Bladestorm: Nightmare also includes the unique Nightmare mode, featuring an all new scenario with 32 additional playable characters from different parts of history, such as Joan of Arc. The game will release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early 2015, as well as on PlayStation 3 as a digital download.
