Dota 2 Getting A Co-Op Campaign This Month

by Jeff Cork on May 05, 2017 at 10:10 AM

Players who pick up Dota 2's The International Battle Pass this year will get something new: access to a campaign. Siltbreaker is a three-part adventure for four players, which offers rewards for those who can survive the dangers of the Dark Reef.

Act I is coming later this month, and it sets up the conflict between the evils of the Dark Reef and the heroic Conclave of the Brine. Players earn campaign XP, which can be used to spin a prize wheel, which could net you an exclusive Desert Sands Baby Roshan. Players who reach battle level 165 will unlock an XP booster.

The second act is coming in July. You need the Battle Pass to access the campaign, which starts at $9.99.

Our Take
I don't know how much Dota 2 players actually care about story when their playing the game, but I imagine that something like this is a fun change of pace from the usual PvP action.
