Driveclub Getting Another Update In The Next Day

by Mike Futter on Oct 15, 2014 at 12:05 PM

Evolution Studios and Sony are still working to get Driveclub (our review) up to full operation. A new update touting several improvements should be available in the next 24 hours.

Sony hopes the update and related server upgrades will improve performance, as well as functionality for clubs and multiplayer gaming. Unfortunately, the diagnostics that are planned also have the potential to bump you offline. Evolution says it will attempt to minimize impact to players.

“We're glad that more of you are getting to play online but we are sorry that many players are still having a hard time getting connected,” the developer writes on its Facebook page. “We are working around the clock to improve connectivity and will keep you informed as we continue to make progress.”

Our Take
There’s not much that I haven’t already said about how poor the Driveclub launch has been. We’re still waiting on news of (possible) compensation for purchasers and the indefinitely delayed PlayStation Plus version.
