Data East’s NES Robocop Lives On In New NECA Figure
You might recall that collectible manufacturer NECA has a penchant for 8-bit versions of movie characters. Friday the 13th’s Jason Voorhees and Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger have both been given the action figure treatment.
Now, it’s time for Data East’s envisioning of Robocop to get plasticized. You’ll note that, just like Jason and Freddy, this version of Alex Murphy features a color pallet ripped straight from the 8-bit NES title.
There will only be a single run of these figures releasing this week. It ships in a window box designed to look like the game packaging.

No price is listed on the NECA website, but retailers have the figure priced at $19.99.
