Controlling Kratos, fighting, and exploring just isn’t particularly fun on a basic level. A just below perfunctory genre experience alongside characters and in a setting I admit I like spending time with.
Some elements of the gameplay haven’t aged well, but they are ultimately outweighed by the opportunity to experience this refined new vision for Oddworld and its inhabitants.
If you’ve played the series before, you should feel right at home. If you haven’t, it’s a great place to start – this is the most fun and accessible installment yet.
