CEO Randy Pitchford says the studio had the gaming rights to the influential film, but that turning it into a game would have been prohibitively expensive.
The proposed legislation would make it a crime to stream copyrighted
material, which could include YouTube videos of game footage and live
gameplay feeds.
David Maisel, the former executive producer in charge of Marvel Studios' film production, has jumped ship to Rovio, where he'll work on adapting the popular games to the noninteractive screen.
