Contest Winners Pop Out Of Portal 2's Test Chambers
A while back, Valve reached out to the Portal 2 community with an offer: Make some cool maps, win some prizes. A contest, if you will. After playing through more than 200 entries, the panel of 13 judges have selected the winners.
Patent Pending edged out the other entrants, taking first place. Infinifling scored second-place honors, and Edifice was so good that it inspired the judges to create a special third-place slot. Ta dah!
Click the links to learn more about each map, and to download and play them yourself on the PC and Mac versions of the game. For their work, the winners are taking home a haul of loot including shirts, posters, and more.
If you didn't get around to making a map (or if you don't really know how to do that), all is not lost. Valve's music video contest is still in the works, and you have more than two weeks to scrape together something amazing. Hop to!
