150 Hours Went Into Recreating The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past In Dragon Quest Builders 2

by Andrew Reiner on Sep 25, 2019 at 12:50 PM

Just as Nintendo remastered The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening for Switch, an ambitious player recreated The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past within Dragon Quest Builders 2. Everyone apparently has Zelda on the brain these days.

The player of note is BenXC, who uploaded a trailer for this ambitious project onto YouTube. Ben says the world building took over 150 hours spread across half of a year. Over 300,000 blocks were placed by hand to recreate the cities and Death Mountain, and over 2,500 trees were planted to replicate the wilderness. If you want to tour Ben's creation in Dragon Quest Builders 2, enter this Island ID: npyrd8ZJVM.
