Microsoft's Project Scorpio Can Benefit Xbox One Titles, Too

Today Microsoft revealed the tech specs for its upcoming Project Scorpio console, and while it seems to fit the bill for anyone looking for full 4K gaming on a console, the unit will also apparently make most of your existing Xbox One titles better when played on the system.

An article over at Eurogamer's Digital Foundry, based on their discussions with Microsoft, points out that Scorpio should lock in consistent performance, improved GameDVR capture, and load times. The catch, however, is that these benefits may not apply uniformly to all Xbox One titles, and there may be compatibility issues with some games.

Being able to see some tangible improvement for your existing catalog of Xbox One titles on Scorpio would boost the system's attractiveness, but we still don't know what it costs.
