Weekend Warrior 04/24/2015

by Ben Reeves on Apr 24, 2015 at 02:00 PM

Lately, it seems like Bloodborne is the only game that people have been playing, but that's not going to stop some of us from moving on to other things. It might be a dry season for video games, but we'll keep ourselves busy.

Ben Hanson (@Yozetty) – This weekend I'm going to be replaying the first act of Broken Age before the big release of the second half next week. Outside of that, I'll most likely continue to play and enjoy Affordable Space Adventures on the Wii U and I've been considering giving Heroes of the Storm another go. Oh, and I guess I'll be playing Settlers of Cataan tonight but that barely counts. Have a good weekend!

Andrew Reiner (@Andrew_Reiner) – I’m playing Bloodborne with a friend (we switch off controls after every death) and also hope to finish up watching the first season of Daredevil. I’m also introducing games to my daughter. Right now, she’s experimenting with a number of iOS learning titles. They all suck so far, and I think she’s beginning to deem video games undesirable. I might have to show her Super Mario Bros. soon.

Jeff Marchiafava (@GIJeffM) – I’m on a Bloodborne hiatus this week, which gives me an opportunity to play some indie games. I started Apotheon this week and even though I’m not a huge fan of the animation, it’s an interesting take on the side-scrolling Metroid-style exploration game. I also started Broken Age and have enjoyed it as well. If that’s not enough, I’ve got Axiom Verge and Zen Pinball 2 to round out my indie weekend.

Jeff Cork (@GIJeff) – I have the house to myself this weekend, which means I'm going to spend way too much time playing games. I'm hoping to spend a substantial portion of it on Bloodborne, but I'll get some Tower of Guns in there, too. If all goes according to plan, this is going to be The Best Weekend in Forever. Sorry, family!

Ben Reeves (@BenjaminReeves) – I'm looking to relax. I don't have a lot planned for the weekend, but I might check out the UFC fight on Sat, and then I'll probably play some more Grim Fandango (finally getting back into it and hoping to finish it). Other than that, I've been really loving Marvel's Neflix Daredevil series, but I don't want it to end so I've been going kind of slow through it. We'll have to wait and see what other random games I happen to get into this weekend.

Brian Shea (@BrianPShea) – This weekend, I’ll be playing some Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China and Mortal Kombat X. Between those, I’ll be continuing my Road to the Show in MLB 15: The Show.
