Learn How The Canceled Donkey Kong Racing Turned Into The Canceled Sabreman Stampede

When Rare was purchased by Microsoft, it retooled and released many of its projects to excise Nintendo characters, but one never saw the light of day – Donkey Kong Racing.

Rare retooled it for possible release with Microsoft into a game called Sabreman Stampede, starring the eponymous Sabreman from one of Rare's first games, Sabre Wulf. You can check out the video below, which also explores additional facets of Donkey Kong Country's history.
