by Mike Futter on Dec 04, 2013 at 12:08 PM

Star Wars: The Old Republic subscribers have been given their pilots licenses. Early access for the Galactic Starfighter expansion is live now, and those still opting to pay for the free-to-play title get to take off first.

Galactic Starfighter introduces 12-vs-12 dogfights between the Sith and the Republic. Players will earn "requisition," a special type of experience that will enable craft customization in the form of weapons and abilities.

In addition to early access, subscribers will get custom paint jobs, unique pilot suits, and exclusive titles. Preferred status players (those that purchase anything from the store) will get access to Galactic Starfighter on January 14. The general public will being playing on February 4.
