The Last Express Arrives On iOS Soon

DotEmu announced the release date for its iOS port of the classic 1997 adventure game, The Last Express.

The Last Express was created by Jordan Mechner, the creator of Prince of Persia and Karateka, and was considered revolutionary back in the day. It takes place on a train traveling from Paris to Constantinople, and involves a deadly conspiracy that unfolds days before the beginning of World War I. The most notable feature of The Last Express is that it takes place in real-time; the 30 characters move around the train, conversing and interacting with one another whether the player is there or not. They also change their behavior based on the player's actions, leading to different experiences in each playthrough of the game.

The game didn't sell well, but was highly praised by critics. The game releases on iPhone and iPad on September 27, so if you've overlooked it for the past 15 years, here's your chance to correct that mistake. Check out the launch trailer below:
