Leisure Suit Larry Creator Lists Source Code For His Classic Games On eBay

by Kyle Hilliard on Dec 01, 2018 at 10:34 AM

Al Lowe, the creator of the Leisure Suit Larry games as well as a number of other classic Sierra titles, is selling some of his source code for classic Sierra projects on eBay. In an interview with YouTuber MetalJesusRocks Lowe said, "I’m 72 years old, and none of my kids want this junk! Does anybody?"

You can check out all the eBay offerings by heading here. Some highlights include the source code for Leisure Suit Larry currently going for $7,600 and the source code for Leisure Suit Larry 2 going for over $7,800 at the time of this posting.

You can check out more about the whole endeavour by watching the video below where he says, "I backed everything up because I knew Sierra didn't."

It's worth noting that Lowe says he hasn't tested any of the discs recently, and that owning the source code obviously doesn't mean you own the intellectual rights to the games, but it is an interesting piece of video game history.

Our Take
This belongs in a museum! But I am glad Lowe is willing to part with it. I just hope that's where it all lands – a museum.
