Choose Which Kind Of Hatted Pikachu You Want, But Only Choose Once
Mario isn't the only Nintendo character getting in on the hat-based action this year, you can also download one hatted Pikachu to your copy of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon ahead of the nostalgia-filled Pokemon: I Choose You! movie.
The hats, which are based off Ash's hats throughout the seasons and regions he has traveled through in the TV show, are being given away week to week. You enter a code during a week designated for a specific hat and you get that Pikachu, but the catch is that you can only download that week's Pikachu. That is, if you want the Hoenn hat and the Kanto/Johto hat, you're out of luck and have to choose one.
Here are the date ranges for the various hats:
Kanto/Johto Cap: September 19 - 25
Hoenn Cap: September 26 - October 2
Sinnoh Cap: October 3 - 9
Unova Cap: October 10 - 16
Kalos Cap: October 17 - 23
Alola Cap: October 24 - 30
You get your code through the game's Mystery Gift feature using code PIKACHU20, so if you're planning to do so through multiple games, keep yourself aware of the dates. The full details can be found on the Pokemon Company's website, along with step-by-step instructions of how to get your Pikachu.
