Obi-Wan Standalone Star Wars Movie Could Be On The Way
A new standalone Star Wars adventure starring everyone's favorite sci-fi scold could be coming, according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to the site, director Stephen Daldry [The Hours, Billy Elliot] is in talks with Disney and Lucasfilm to help a film focused on Obi-Wan Kenobi.
It's apparently still very early in the process, with sources telling The Hollywood Reporter that the project has no script. It's also unknown if previous Obi-Wan actor Ewan McGregor will be back.
A Han Solo-centric film is currently wrapping up. It was originally being directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller [The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street], but Ron Howard took over following creative differences.
