Dishonored 2 PC Patch On The Way To Improve Framerates And More

by Kimberley Wallace on Nov 11, 2016 at 07:00 AM

Dishonored 2 is finally here, but PC players noticed a more than a few issues yesterday when those who pre-ordered received a day of early access. Bethesda heard the complaints and released a statement today apologizing and confirming that a patch is on the way.

In the statement on its website reads:

"With the feedback our support group has received, we are preparing a patch intended to provide improvements to allow for more consistent framerates on affected systems and provide an update to the mouse code for smoother input."

In the meantime, Bethesda suggests you make sure you use the recommend settings posted here and check the Steam Community Guides to ensure you get the best experience.

No exact date was listed for the patch except that "will be available in the coming days."

Our Take
These days PC performance issues are common as are early patches, but that doesn't mean this isn't disappointing. At least, Bethesda addressed the issue; now it needs to get a fix in place just as quickly. I just hope people who were really looking forward to playing the game don't have to wait too long for the patch. Bethesda says "a few days," but who knows if that will be the case, especially for those who were hoping to dive into the game this weekend.
