Kojima Astounds With PS4 Title Death Stranding

by Matthew Kato on Jun 13, 2016 at 04:16 PM

"Hello everyone, I'm back!" Kojima announced as he dramatically walked onto the stage of Sony's press conference to show the debut trailer of his PS4 title Death Stranding.

The trailer and the game star Norman Reedus, whom Kojima worked with on the cult classic P.T. demo.

The in-game footage (Sony tech guru Mark Cerny is listed as the game's tech producer) shows a naked man awakening an beach drenched in what appears to be oil. Dead animals are all around: whales, crabs, fish. See it below.

Reedus has a handcuff on his wrist and attached to him is a baby, with a cord coming out of its abdomen like an umbilical cord.

The man – with a scar on his stomach – hugs the baby before it disappears, leaving only oily handprints on his body and in the sand.

As Reedus looks up, five figures appear in the sky before disappearing.
