Nintendo Is Revamping The Miiverse With Screenshot Albums, Play Journals, And More

by Mike Futter on Jul 01, 2015 at 05:29 AM

Nintendo is going to be giving the Miiverse some new features and a sleeker look this summer. The update comes with new personalization features and changes to the communities pages that make them easier to navigate.

Users will be able to store up to 100 screenshots in their personal album. They’ll also have a new play journal to keep notes of gaming memories, with screenshots automatically attached to each entry.

Communities will now have posts categorized by journal entries, drawings, and discussions. The journal entry feature replaces the activity feed. Additionally, Nintendo is loosening its rapid posting restriction, but limiting users to 30 comments per day (not including those made inside games).

Our Take
The Miiverse is a strange and wonderful place, which has made Splatoon and the new Super Smash Bros. stage even more delightful. Improving the usability and introducing these new features is a smart move.
