Double Fine's New Video Series Explores Video Games' Past

In the first episode of Devs Play, a new video series by Double Fine and 2 Player Productions, Double Fine's Greg Rice travels back to 1994 to play the 16-bit classic The Lion King with Westwood Studios' co-founder Louis Castle. In this full walkthrough of the game, which periodically showcases Rice's strange overhand button tapping, Castle discusses the development of the game and the pressure of living up to Aladdin.

Double Fine has a handful of Devs Play episodes mapped out. Next up is Earthbound (on December 30), followed by Gauntlet with Mike Mika (January 6), The Legend of Zelda (January 13), Doom with John Romero (January 20), and Psychonauts with Tim Schafer (January 27).
