Lara Croft And The Temple Of Osiris Lands A Release Date

by Andrew Reiner on Jul 23, 2014 at 05:33 AM

Developer Crystal Dynamics is working on two projects: Rise of the Tomb Raider, the follow-up to last year's excellent series reboot, Tomb Raider, and Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, the unexpected sequel to 2010's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. We won't get our hands on Rise of the Tomb Raider until holiday 2015, but Lara isn't leaving fans without a new adventure in 2014, as Square Enix announced today that Temple of Osiris is locked in for a December 9 release date.

This isometric adventure features four-player co-op – a first for the series – and is slated to ship simultaneously on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. For more details, check out our hands-on impressions (which includes a gameplay video).

Our Take
It's almost shocking to see a game release in December. Hats off to Square Enix for releasing a game in a month that is often a barren wasteland for new releases.
