Neil Gaiman And The Odd Gentlemen Are Ready To Release Wayward Manor

by Matt Helgeson on Jun 27, 2014 at 11:31 AM

Last year, acclaimed fantasy author Neil Gaiman announced that he would be developing a game in partnership with the quirky studio The Odd Gentlemen. Now, it's got a release date.

Wayward Manor is a lightly comic, slightly gothic adventure/puzzle game in which players are cast as a ghost trying to scare an annoying family out of your house. The game, which was funded by donations on the game's official site instead of Kickstarter, is now ready to launch and will begin giving you the heebie jeebies on July 15.

The game will be available on Steam and also on the Humble store, where 10 percent of the proceeds will go to charity.

Our Take:
It will be interesting to see how this one pans out. I always thought Gaiman and the Odd Gentlemen were a great fit, but lately there seem to be a lot of adventure games with great aesthetics and slight gameplay.
