Wizards Of The Coast Announces Khans Of Tarkir
The Magic: The Gathering Fall 2014 set has been revealed as Khans of Tarkir. The first set in this three part block will be released on September 26, 2014, and will be focused on the dragon-deprived homeworld (Tarkir) of planeswalker Sarkhan Vol.
Lead designer on the set Mark Rosewater says “There is something that people have been asking us to do for quite a while that we’re finally bringing back after a long absence in Magic, and there’s something that people have been asking us to do that we have never done that for the first time we’re doing in Khans of Tarkir.”
The block will consist of three sets with a large set first, then a small set, then a large set – Though Rosewater indicates there may be something different with how this typical set structure will play out in the Tarkir block.
Players that want to experience the set prior to release can participate in prerelease events running on September 20-21.
