Design The Shield That Won't Save You From The Horrors Of Dark Souls II
If there is one thing I've learned from Demon's Souls and Dark Souls it's that death is an inevitability. If you're going to get smacked around by monsters though, you can at least do it in style. Starting today, fans of FromSoftware's brutal adventures will be able to create their own shield designs for potential inclusion in the Dark Souls II.
Using one of three templates available through a Facebook app, designers can submit their creations for community vote through May 13, 2013. From May 14 through May 20, no additional designs will be accepted, but voting will continue. Top community contenders will go on for a final selection by the development team at FromSoftware.
The six winners will be announced by Namco Bandai at San Diego Comic Con in July. Winners (and everyone else) will be able to use these custom-crafted armaments when the game releases on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. No release date has been confirmed.
