A new Spike TV special called Battlefield 3: Operation Gridiron puts NFL all-pros through a simulated combat scenario pulled straight from the upcoming shooter.

Electronic Arts is pulling out all the stops to build the hype for its highly anticipated upcoming shooter Battlefield 3. It's latest move is as over the top as it gets. In partnership with GTTV, Electronic Arts recruited New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews, and Minnesota Vikings defensive end/cullinary expert Jared Allen to go through an intensive boot camp under the guidance of a real spec ops team and then take a different kind of field for a simulated military exercise designed after a Battlefield 3 mission.
