Crysis 2 Outsells Dead Space 2, Dragon Age 2
Adopting Crytek's shooter to the console space paid off for Electronic Arts, as its sales numbers soared above two of the company's other highly publicized franchises.
Electronic Arts' Q1 earnings statements revealed that the sequel to the high performance PC game has shipped over 3 million copies to date since its March 22 release, outpacing Dragon Age II (March 8), and Dead Space 2 (January 25) by approximately one million units each. Portal 2 was also listed as shipping 2 million units, but its total numbers are likely much higher considering that this figure does not include the copies sold via Valve's Steam platform.
With those kind of numbers, you can bet Crytek is gearing up for a third entry in the series.
