Report: PSN Attack Was Launched Via Amazon Server
According to financial site Bloomberg, an anonymous source close to the matter claims that the hackers who brought down the PlayStation network did so through a rented server.
Of course, Amazon isn't commenting, but the source says that the hackers used false information to register for Amazon's EC2 cloud computing service, and then used the rented server to launch the attack.
If true, tracking down the people responsible for renting the server will hopefully lead the organizations investigating the breach to the culprits.
