Pokémon Black and White Move A Milli

At some point, you’d think the fervor for Nintendo’s Pokémon series would begin to wane. You’d be wrong. Today, Nintendo released its day one sales numbers for Pokémon Black and White. The DS titles combined to sell over 1.08 million copies in just one day. This bests the previous Pokémon single-day sales mark set by Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, which moved 780,000 units in April of 2007.

While Black and White didn’t reinvent the Pokéwheel, the 150+ new Pokémon, new Unova region, and new battle modes were enough to entice its fans to buy the games in droves.
