Get In On Gears With Bulletstorm Epic Edition
Adding extra incentive to purchase Bulletstorm on February 22, EA announced today an Xbox-exclusive “Epic Edition” of the title that will allow for early entrance to the Gears of War 3 beta.
"Epic is poised to break new ground in 2011 with Gears of War 3 and Bulletstorm," said Dr. Michael Capps, president of Epic Games. "With these two highly anticipated triple-A experiences comes a unique opportunity to do something to really excite players, and that's what we intend to accomplish with the support of Microsoft Game Studios and EA. This is for the shooter fans."
The Epic Edition boils down to a push for preorders, and as such will retail at the same $59.99 price point as the standard version. The Epic Edition will also include bonus in-game content in the vein of 25,000 extra experience points, and “visual upgrades for their iconic leash, deadly Peace Maker Carbine, boots, and armor.”
