Game Informer Online Wins Webby People’s Voice Award

by Jeff Cork on May 04, 2010 at 05:39 AM

Hundreds of thousands of votes were cast, and the results are in: Game Informer Online is bigger than the Beatles. Not really but at least we beat out The Beatles: Rock Band in the Webby Awards’ People’s Voice Awards category. We were one of five nominees in the games-related category, up against BioShock 2, The Beatles: Rock Band’s sites, GameFly and Guitar Hero’s global franchise hub. The Beatles: Rock Band won in the judged category.

The awards, now in their 14th year, will be handed out in a ceremony in New York City hosted by the Office’s B.J. Novak. Roger Ebert will be honored at the ceremony as the Webby Person of the Year. I wonder what that guy thinks about video games?
