XBLA Block Party Deemed A Success
XBLA downloads saw a surprising jump in sales last month – credited to the successful promotion of the service’s Block Party. In a report just released by the Forecasting and Analyzing Digital Entertainment group (FADE), sales grew 41% in March when compared to the same time last year.
Revenue in March breached the $10 million mark for the first time, topping out at $10.6 million in sales. Last year March saw $7.5 million in sales. Toy Soldiers was the easy victor of the Block Party, selling an estimated 209,000 copies at 1200 Microsoft Points a pop. Perfect Dark’s port came in second, Trials HD third, and Battlefield 1943 fourth. You can find the full financial breakdown below.
