UFC President Backs Down From Fight With EA

by Ben Reeves on Mar 30, 2010 at 01:31 PM

Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White has little love for game publisher EA. Several month ago White threatened to ban any fighter who appeared in EA’s upcoming MMA title, but it looks like the professional sports promoter might be retracting that dictum.

In a recent interview White explains that he felt disrespected when he first tried to pitch a UFC game to EA, and how his opinion of the game publisher has diminished since it started developing it’s own Mix Martial Arts title. While White will allow UFC fighters who appear in EA’s MMA game to continue fighting in the UFC, he made his opinion of EA’s game pretty clear when he said, “If there's anybody out there who is a UFC fan, you're f***ing nuts if you buy the EA game."

With THQ’s UFC Undisputed 2010 set to release May 25, and EA’s MMA game still projected for some time later this year, this looks like one rivalry that won’t end anytime soon. What game do you think you’ll be buying?
