Red Dead Redemption Preorder Bonus In Your Hands

by Jeff Cork on Dec 08, 2009 at 03:54 AM

Rockstar Games has a Red Dead Redemption pre-order bonus in the works , but the company needs your help. Customers who preorder the game through GameStop will get one of three in-game outfits for character John Marston. Players will get to vote for which of the three will make it into the game through the company's Web site.

“We’re privileged to have fans that are just as passionate about our games as we are," said Alex Moulle-Berteaux, head of marketing for Rockstar Games. "Having fans choose their own pre-order bonus is a unique way to let them be a part of Red Dead Redemption.”

As of right now, we don’t know what those outfits will look like, but Rockstar says that “the outfit will uniquely affect how the surrounding world responds to the game’s protagonist.” Based on that information, we think it’s a safe bet that the choices will include a dress and bonnet, union suit, and a mech with heatseeking missiles and a working flamethrower. Or not.

GameStop is the parent company of Game Informer Magazine.
