Horizon Forbidden West Release Slated For Latter Half Of 2021

by Jason Guisao on Nov 09, 2020 at 10:20 AM

Sony's latest YouTube trailer, "New Worlds To Explore," is a dazzling smorgasbord of PlayStation 5 exclusives and action-packed highlight reels. Miles Morales swings through a Manhattan battleground of sparks and fire as Aloy gazes at the holographic remnants of some ancient dragon. A Gran Turismo racer approaches their revved up vehicle, and Ratchet & Clank brace for impact against flashy explosions. With so many highly-anticipated PlayStation games on the horizon, it's only natural that Sony would eventually provide release date estimates (especially for the upcoming year).

Beneath all that next-gen action - if you're paying attention and aren't appropriately distracted by the awesome visuals - is the small text that provides a bit more clarity as to when specific PlayStation titles will release. Marvel's Spider Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls are coming out on the PS5's launch day, November 12, but other games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7, and Returnal are expected to release in the first half of 2021. Horizon Forbidden West will launch during the latter half of 2021. You can watch the trailer below.

Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the best looking games on PlayStation 4. It's sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, looks to take advantage of the sheer power of the PlayStation 5. If the prequel was any indication, we can expect a dynamic open-world, dramatic and immersive narratives, and intense gameplay.
