Far Cry 6 Leaks Via PSN Update: Ubisoft Teases Official Teaser

by Daniel Tack on Jul 10, 2020 at 09:33 AM

Update 7/10/2020 1:00 PM CST - The leak is essentially confirmed at this point, with Ubisoft tweeting a tease for Sunday's upcoming event.

Ready for another Far Cry? Ahead of its special digital event this Sunday, Ubisoft's upcoming Far Cry 6 reveal looks like it has leaked via PSN. A post on video game forum Resetera details the leak and provides documentation for materials that have now been pulled down.

Key art featuring Giancarlo Esposito gives us a solid idea of what's to come. Perhaps best known for his antagonist role in the hit TV show Breaking Bad as Gus Fring, Giancarlo Esposito has appeared in a ton of great stuff.

He's in The Mandalorian too! Anyway, he's looking like the big enemy in this upcoming Far Cry installment based on the leaked art.

Of note, the description for the game allegedly contains descriptions of "cross buying" options for the title, meaning your PlayStation 4 purchase would support a free upgrade to an enhanced version on PlayStation 5. Surprising no one, the other supporting text appears to place the player in the role of a revolutionary fighting against a brutal dictator.

Hopefully we'll find out a lot more about Far Cry 6 during the Ubisoft Forward event coming up this weekend.
