Dwyane Wade, Anthony Davis Earn Cover Athlete Honors For NBA 2K20

Fresh off his move to the Los Angeles Lakers, dominant big man Anthony Davis makes his second appearance on the cover of NBA 2K. A six-time NBA all-star and three-time All-NBA First Teamer, Davis has the resume of a repeat cover athlete. His teaming up with LeBron James in Los Angeles should only increase his profile.

“I’m honored to be back representing NBA 2K,” Davis said in a press statement. “Being picked as the face of NBA 2K20 means the world to me, and I’m excited for the fans to experience the best sports simulation in the world this fall.”

Given the months of rumors pointing to Davis leaving the New Orleans Pelicans, the NBA 2K20 covers smartly hide the team jersey:

Davis appears on the cover for two editions of the game. The $59.99 Standard Edition comes with 5,000 Virtual Currency, 5 MyCareer skill boosts, a MyPlayer clothing capsule, 5,000 MyTeam points, 10 MyTeam league packs (delivered one per week), and 5 Heat Check packs (delivered one per week beginning at the start of the NBA season).

The $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition comes with 35,000 Virtual Currency, 10 MyCareer skill boosts, a MyPlayer clothing capsule, 10,000 MyTeam points, 10 MyTeam league packs (delivered one per week), 10 MyTeam Heat Check packs (delivered one per week beginning at the start of the NBA season), and 1 Sapphire MyTeam cover athlete card.

Those who purchase the $99.99 Legend Edition get to enjoy a fantastic cover staring Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade (see below). This version comes with 100,000 Virtual Currency, 20 MyCareer skill boosts, a MyPlayer clothing capsule, a MyPlayer apparel collection, a MyPlayer shoe collection, 50,000 MyTeam points, 20 MyTeam league packs (delivered one per week), 20 MyTeam Heat Check packs (delivered one per week beginning at the start of the NBA season), 5 MyTeam theme packs (one per theme release across the next five releases), and 2 Sapphire MyTeam cover athlete cards.

No matter which edition you choose, the game releases on September 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. A Stadia version will launch later this year.
