A new stage based on the Japan-only DS game Tomodachi Collection has been revealed for Super Smash Bros. on 3DS.

In game director Masahiro Sakurai accompanying Miiverse post for the screen he says, "Looks like someone's enjoying the bachelor life in this pad." Tomodachi Collection released for the DS in 2009 and played a bit like Nintendo's take on the Sims, with a little of Animal Crossing sprinkled in for good measure. In the game, players would control their Mii avatars doing everyday activities.

Today marks the release of Yoshi's New Island on 3DS (read our review here), so many were expecting a Super Smash reveal related to Yoshi, who has not yet been confirmed as a fighter in the game.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS are on track for a 2014 release. For more, check out the reveals of a new Animal Crossing stage, a new Pokémon Lumiose City stage, Diddy Kong, the Mother Brain assist trophy, the Waluigi assist trophy, LucarioZelda, the Skull KidMarthSonic, a redesigned Ray Gun, the 3DS Mii Plaza, and a male Wii Fit trainer.
