Steam Greenlight Approves 50 New Games

by Kyle Hilliard on Jan 07, 2014 at 01:24 PM

Steam Grennlight is expanding, with the latest batch of approved titles reaching 50 games.

You can see the full list of games, along with descriptions, screenshots, etc., by heading here. There are brand new as well as familiar and Kickstarted games on the list like Bullet Bros, Crying is not Enough, Depressions Quest, Interplanetary, Lambda Wars, Lili, The 7th Guest 3: The Collector, Manos: The Hands of Fate, and many more.

Lili comes from developer BitMonster, which is made of former Gears of War folks. Manos: The Hands of Fate is a NES-style 8-bit platformer based on the terrible film of the same name made popular by its appearance on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

To see more of Steam Greenlight's approved games, you can check out some previous lists here, here, and here.

Our Take
The Greenlight program seems to be working pretty well. The first few batches of approved games barely reached 10 games, and now the latest is a list 50 titles long. I also like seeing games like more art-focused, experimental games like Depression Quest making the list. You can actually play the game for free (or pay what you want) right now, but showing up on Steam will help it reach a wider audience.
