E3 2017 Monday Recap

by Jeff Cork on Jun 12, 2017 at 09:52 PM

Today was another big one for game news, with press conferences from Ubisoft and Sony, as well as the PC Gaming Show. We'll forgive you if you weren't able to keep up with all of the game reveals and new trailers for previously announced titles. In fact, we'll make it easy for you to catch up. We've got everything you need to read and watch from today's events in one central location.

The PC Gaming Show was relatively low-key, though there were a few notable news items. Highlights included the announcement of an XCOM 2 expansion, as well as pricing and release-date details for Lawbreakers. A few hours later, Ubisoft had an impressive press conference filled with lengthy demos, including The Crew 2, Far Cry 5, and a new pirate game called Skull and Bones. The presentation ended with an extended CG teaser for the long-awaited Beyond Good & Evil 2. Sony's press conference was similarly filled with big-name games, and it was tough to keep up with the rapid-fire delivery of so many releases. It included surprises like a Shadow of the Colossus remaster, a Skyrim VR edition, and a new PS4 Monster Hunter game. It concluded with a lengthy look at Insomniac's upcoming Spider-Man game.

Here's the complete list of what happened today. And if you missed the weekend news, you can catch up here.
