You Can Play These Games From E3 2016 Right Now

by AJ Moser on Jun 18, 2016 at 01:30 PM

E3 is a great time for developers and publishers to show off the exciting software they have coming in the next few months or even years. However, it leaves some gamers eager to get their hands on the new titles as soon as possible. A number of full games, demos, and betas were released during E3 this year, and we have collected them all in one place.

Doom
Announced during Bethesda's press conference, the full first level of the popular first-person shooter is now free to play on all available platforms. What is especially neat about this demo is that players can choose from any of the game's difficulty levels, aside from the insanely challenging Ultra Nightmare. For players who have yet to pick up Id Software's latest, this should provide a lengthy first taste before the first big update and DLC are released.

Halo Wars 2
Microsoft showed off a great deal of the upcoming strategy sequel set in the Halo universe, even though the game isn't being officially released until February 2017. A multiplayer beta is running through the end of this weekend, and you can check out our full thoughts on the updated gameplay in our recent Test Chamber.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The latest Lego adventure in the Star Wars universe is less than two weeks away from launch, but players on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can grab one full level of the game right now. The demo takes place at Niima Outpost on the planet of Jakku, and features Rey, Finn, and BB-8. For more on the changes in Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, be sure to read our recent cover story.

Resident Evil VII
Similar to the short lived P.T., a brief demo of the new Resident Evil game was released as a surprise after Sony's press conference and is absolutely terrifying. We sat down with the game's director and learned that the demo will not be a part of the main game, but many questions still remain regarding Resident Evil VII. To watch this demo terrify some of the Game Informer staff, check out our Test Chamber.

Rythym Heaven Megamix
This game was revealed during a Nintendo Direct back in March and stealthily released during a Nintendo Treehouse live presentation at E3. A mix of old and new Rhythym Heaven minigames are present in this title, along with a brand new story set in the universe. This is the first full game on the list, and will set you back $29.99 on the 3DS eShop.

Trials of the Blood Dragon
Ubisoft unveiled this colorful action game set in the world of Far Cry: Blood Dragon during their show, and it was available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC immediately afterwards. The gameplay features a bombastic mix of shooting and racing with the same wacky neo-80s story from Blood Dragon. We took the game for a spin during a recent Test Chamber.
