by Elise Favis on Jun 12, 2016 at 04:55 PM

Id Software announced that several free updates are on the way for the studio's Doom reboot that released earlier this year.

Doom's user-generated content and level-creator Snapmap is going to receive free updates, including new construction models, props, weapons, and items. New options will allow users to create their own single-player experiences. Two new modes will also arrive next month, including Exodus and Sector, as well as a free-for-all mode that will be a classic deathmatch. These updates will be available to all players on all existing maps.

The studio also announced a new multiplayer DLC on its way titled Unto the Evil which will feature three new maps, such as Offering, Cataclysm, and Ritual. A brand new demonic enemy called the Harvester will also be introduced. This DLC will also include new guns, taunts, armor, and more. Finally, the first level of Doom will be free for this week starting now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
